Welcome to The George Hotel which is a family run business managed by Chris Cromack and his son Darren since July 2011.
The George is one of a handful of real ale pubs left in the City centre, given its name it was once a Hotel which we hope to be able to establish very soon. After its June 2011 refurbishment it has been cleverly modernised to keep most of its original features and character which The George has in abundance.
The location of the George is desirable located within the Civic quarter of Leeds. Ideally located between the two Law courts and opposite one of the biggest teaching hospitals in West Yorkshire the Leeds General Infirmary we are also within stepping distance of Millennium Square and the City’s Universities.
At the rear is an intimate outside courtyard with decking, awnings and seating which provides a nice haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city all year round.
We have two entrances off Great George Street which lead you inside the main bar, the main bar itself wraps around the original bar clock, and is stocked with a fine selection of Cask Ales, spirits, wines and speciality drinks to suit everybody’s tastes.
We also serve good quality homemade meals, which are all freshly prepared everyday by our chef; we are famous for our steaks, homemade burgers and pies.
We have two wall mounted LCD televisions televising Sky TV. We keep our eye on all the main sporting fixtures e.g. football, rugby, cricket, golf etc... To keep you up to date with your teams away and at home....
